It is our philosophy that going green is not only important to the environment, but necessary
to keep our kids healthy. So, at HippoHopp it is one of our top priorities to minimize toxins in
every way possible. Our entire 12,000 square-foot interior has been painted with Sherwin-Williams Harmony
latex, a ZERO VOC (volatile organic compound) paint.
WE RECYCLE – all of our plastics, glass, cardboard, paper and juice pouches. We use our
dishwater to water the outside plants.
WE REDUCE – everything. We try our best to conserve our resources by turning off
electricity and a/c as soon as possible and using best practices to save water. We have
installed fans to help circulate the cooled air around the play area so the a/c unit doesn’t
have to work so hard. We are cutting down on paper use by using e-newsletters, reusable
HippoHopp gift card, e-fax and e-invites instead of traditional printed ones.
We would love to hear how you are going green and welcome any suggestions on improvements we can implement to make our facility safer and healthier for the environment and the kids. Please email us at green@hippohopp.com with your ideas!

WE REUSE – as much as possible. We are trying to eliminate disposable products wherever
we can by using real cups, plates and cutlery. In the kitchen and when cleaning we use real
towels instead of paper.
We strictly use only NON-TOXIC, BIODEGRADABLE CLEANING PRODUCTS for all of
our cleaning and disinfecting. This not only prevents unnecessary pollution from going down
the drain, but also protects our kids from being exposed to toxins. We use a natural
germicide to disinfect our inflatable equipment every day.
